Disconnect a user?
« on: November 12, 2008, 09:34:55 am »
Is it possible to disconnect a user who is presently connected (ALIVE) ?
Deleting the user's ticket will presumably stop subsequent connection attempts but will not terminate the established connection.....

Not from worldspot website
However, you can do this with coova web interface (in hotspot status)

Ok thanks, but I'm using dd-wrt v23 sp2 at present.
I think it's possible with dd-wrt but I'm not sure how.
I don't want to ban, just disconnect a certain user who is using P2P to the detriment of the other users.
In dd-wrt I'm fairly sure I can block P2P.......
Also I'd like to be able to access the hotspot router from the internet.
How can this be done?
I've successfully run servers from home pc using dynamic dns from dyndns, but I don't know how to use this service to access the hotspot router.
Is there any help on this in the forum?

disconnecting a user is a new feature from coova. It is not possible to do this with dd-wrt.
filtering p2p is possible with iptables scripts, however, I can't help you with that.
I think there has been a post with a solution on this forum, but I'm not sure.

For the web management, it is possible to enable it on the WAN side. You will have to make sure ports are correctly forwarded from the other router if there is one.
I don't have the exact settings names in mind...
